Not in shape? He finished 11th on stage 4 which was a drastic improvement from stage 2. Of course he's in shape, rather good shape actually, but the sickness just took the top of his shape. So of course he can win, the problem for Wout is, unless he's flat out a lot stronger the the rest, its very hard for him to win in the break on stages like this because of his name.
Do you still believe he is in shape? Man, this stage had vintage WVA written all over the place
 
Monster performance today. For a moment, I saw the old Wout and not the washed one I have been watching since the last year

It was a 50km race basically, i.e. pan flat except for a 1km cobbled climb repeated 3 times. If there was ever a moment WvA was going to clobber Pog, it was here. Especially since he always finished a GT with good legs (it's one of his strengths).

But that doesn't take away from imagery, i.e. dropping the yellow jersey like that looked great on TV.
