Tarling is better than ever. Don't know if he can lose less than 6 seconds to him.Much better than I feared when I heard about the sickness. Hopefully he takes the maglia rosa tomorrow.

If he loses 6 seconds to Tarling, I'm pretty sure he'll have the maglia rosa.Tarling is better than ever. Don't knoe if he can lose less than 6 seconds to him.
He was dropped.Tarling is better than ever. Don't knoe if he can lose less than 6 seconds to him.
Wout was gassed on the climb, couldn't go faster. Recovered on the descent and his sprint looked pretty good.I don't know if it was clever of Wout on the last climb when he dropped back so he didn't have to go to the limit or if he just couldn't go any faster. But the form should be good enough to have a good time trial.
I don't find impressive to be honest. A good Wout would not have these results for sure.Last six results: 2nd, 4th, 4th, 2nd, 4th, 2nd. Impressive consistency.

You also didn't say it was impressive, you said it was impressively consistent, which it obviously still is imo.My post wasn't 100% serious though.
You mean the Wout van Aert that beat green Cavendish, prime Philipsen, prime Ewan, prime Viviani, prime Bennett, green Sagan etcetera? Sure.Even the best Wout isn't going to outsprint Mads from behind like that. Solid sprint though!
I have a bad memory, but I don't remember him doing that this year. You mean the Wout van Aert that beat green Cavendish, prime Philipsen, prime Ewan, prime Viviani, prime Bennett, green Sagan etcetera? Sure.
For stage 21 2021 TdF WVA didn’t come from behind that stage though, he was dropped off at the front with 220-250 m to go while closing the barrier to Cav and Philipsen had to go the long way around Teunissen. You mean the Wout van Aert that beat green Cavendish, prime Philipsen, prime Ewan, prime Viviani, prime Bennett, green Sagan etcetera? You said 'the best'. Not 'this year'.I have a bad memory, but I don't remember him doing that this year.
Because people were talking about him being sick recently as a reason why he might not be at 'his best'.You said 'the best'. Not 'this year'.
The problem for Wout is Kooji being Visma's main sprinter and probably Wout will be a leadout sprinter in flat stages (give more points). It takes great champions to deny great champions. Mad Mads is that. Another race, and Wout is there, like in pretty much every race. He fights to the end. Always.
It takes a great champion to beat him. Bravo Mads today. Wout beat great champions too, many times, he will do it again.
If WvA wants the points jersey, he can handle climbs and win precious points. I think that he can get that, a stage or two would be nice. I like the guy, he's a fighter.
So true! Wout is a true fighter with tons of grit. One of his best qualities. I also hope he can get some wins.It takes great champions to deny great champions. Mad Mads is that. Another race, and Wout is there, like in pretty much every race. He fights to the end. Always.
