Looks like Van Aert is entering his super diesel shape again, I don‘t think it takes him to the front at Roubaix, but this was very impressive.

I'd love for all the cards to fall into place for that long-sought Paris-Roubaix win.

Given how much bad luck he’s experienced, I can only think that a few years ago Wout must have broken a mirror while standing on a black cat at the same time as he was walking under a ladder. Maybe his measure of bad luck finally ran out with the crash yesterday and the fact that he got up uninjured to finish third. The hope is he can build on this and take some form into the rest of the season. A win at PR would be incredibly awesome, but you need everything to go right at that race, with no unluck. It’s the cycling equivalent of the Grand National. And maybe Wout is due a little good fortune. But you never know.
