Demi did say about a week ago she was going to ride for Wiebes, which I found confusing since she also had said she wanted to win this race.

If she got kept on for three years after the Tokyo debacle, the only thing that I can possibly imagine is enough of a tactical travesty as a DS to enable Loos Gunnewijk to leave the Dutch federation is if Movistar offer her a contract.

Vollering getting upset at the lack of assistance she's getting, but nobody wants to collaborate with Wiebes, most of those riders have teammates up front, and the only riders there who have reason to help her are on their own so have nobody to count on. Maybe Schweinberger and Uttrup the only ones she could really realistically call on.

Niewiadoma has Lach up the road. I know banking on Marta Lach to win from that group up front is a losing tactical game, but it's a reason for her not to work for quite some time.

Lippert looks great as well, but she has a couple of times in big races looked a million bucks only to then go missing at a key split so I'm not counting my chickens yet, but she is a potential threat too and also comparatively fresh, having not had too much racing this season.
