Probably the other commentator. The same as how Luis Piçarra is fine but Paulo Martins is embarrassing, or how those who complain about Kirby typically don't have such a problem with Brian Smith or Magnus Backstedt.

Think its more Hugh Porter, who is a track guy but always wheeled out for any cycling on the BBC and his truly truly awful pronunciation and knowledge of road riders names/type of rider they are etc

Funny how it's always the "main" commentator that talks pish, and interrupts the sensible ex-pro secondary commentator. I suppose it's one guy to fill dead air and another to actually impart knowledge.
