Anyone know if Armstrong dislikes the rain.

I think we can decide that she does judging by the way she's riding that road - the surface is flawless and fast on the part she was hiding off the back.

Bit disappointing. I thought the Dutch would blow up the first climb of the Box Hill already. But they don't?

Why wait?

Clara Hughes is not who I expected to be the one setting the pace on Box Hill! The Dutch seemed active enough in the early running I thought they'd start some fireworks here.

Finally an attack but WAY too late by Van Dijk, who seems finished anyway
Very underwhelming. This looks good for the non-Dutch

Clara, superb cyclist as she is, is not built like a specialist climber. I was expecting the likes of Pooley, Guderzo, Stevens.

Judith Arndt now going for it!

Vos expanding a lot of energy herself early again. Which she will probably miss in an eventual sprint. Reminds me of when Cooke won the worlds

Pooley pouring it on,is that Vos doing the chasing?

Yes - Vos covering - I guess that's why Pooley took it pretty easy up the climb.

Gunnewijk down heping Olds(I think?) and Pooley reestablish a gap.

Yup. Pooley attacking during her weakest class of riding (descending), if they let her away here she could make a bit of time on the climb, but I think there's too much flat for her to carry it off after that.

Vos on the short climb up to the golf club after Pooley led her out. Pooley and Armistead both still there and quite a few behind. another long descent now.

Cooke dropped.

She's got a lot better at it. Believe it or not, two or three years ago she was a proper Basso. When they put the Mortirolo in the 2011 Giro Donne she made jokes about getting an ice cream like Bahamontes.
