You are just willingly ignoring that in order to get a reaction from those posters, AKA trolling.

isn't each and every post designed to get a reaction from readers? you are twisting the words to get to your goal, banning me, because you don't like me because i laugh at sky haters reasoning, from which you are one.

p.s. you could warn me privately but you choose to do it in public just because you forgot you are mod and you behave like a hater fan. abusing power, etc.

Certainly interesting reading the quick blurb and how OGE and OPQS have more recently been within < 1 second of each other in TTTs, swapping wins. But this time the gap was 11 seconds, despite OGE putting it all on the line.

Putting it all on the line? What, cyclists? In a cycling race? Do tell:cool:

I don't get your time observation. Its a 20 minute effort. 11 seconds separating the top 2 over 20 minutes is perfectly normal. Id say its pretty close even. That it was slightly closer before means little. There are many reasons why times would fluctuate so slightly when teams are doing seperate efforts over such long distances.

And of course its a ttt which is the most technical discipline in the game. Often the hardest to predict as well.
Do you need strengh, of course. Does doping help, hell yes eg Astana at 2009. But probably less than any other part of the sport, and all the other things count so much more. Thats why Liquigas for example often lit up ttts with what were considered average teams.

BTW Tony Martin was injured for the time trial where Ogre beat them in the TDF.

The word, "stunned" was used, but not directly quoted, so it's more likely journalistic interpretation of body language. Would have been good to see hot seat footage as OPQS finished

Why. OPQS are the current world ttt champion team. They were the world team time trial champions before that. They were the bookies favourites for the race, and as HTC 3 of the current team - T Mart, Cav and Renshaw, was THE dominant ttt force in cycling for years.

They expected to win, and won.
.

I didn't go back and look at their full CQ results list for TTTs, but it will be interesting if this leads to another rung in the preparatore ladder of marginal gains as the season continues on to the races with big bucks riding on them.
Considering OGE rode the fastest team time trial in cycling history at the TDF, i really don't know if this OPQS performacne is esculating it.

Luckily I didn't say it's suspicious.

Yes, if they are on topic. You are bringing Sky to a thread that has nothing to
with Sky.

Also the calling people 'Sky haters' won't go down well, just sayin'..

Sometimes, a post miraculously escapes a purge. It gets survivor's guilt and, deprived of its companions, doesn't make any sense anymore.

By less than a second.

So what. That results change over time based on a million different variables is the nature of sport and life. I can't believe there's actually someone out there who thinks that when 2 teams face eachother the score should be the exact same one as before and that minor fluctuations are shocking.

In football is it a surprise if the score is 0-0 the first time they play and then 1-0 the second time?

Btw what's really funny is that you see opqs winning by a handful of seconds as this big surprise, but fail to notice that oge winning that tdf tt and coming so close in the world's one was a far bigger surprise to begin with. In other words the status quo you look to was by your own standards, massively flawed.

"Big surprise"?

Goodness.

I really must learn how to spell "interesting", when recounting the article details written by a CN journalist, for clearly I am getting it wrong.

I N T E R E S T I N G.

There. I think that's it.

What are you talking about?

Your post implies that OPQS were using something extra to make the difference against OGE. Hitch points out that just because when they raced before and the gap was 2 seconds that 11 seconds this time round is little change in the scheme of things. He also points that if anything it is OGE that are the surprise given OPSQ results.

What 'point' are you trying to make with the above post?

No, I'm saying he's clean. I'm yet to decide on his past actions.

I'd be more inclined to say he was lucky...

dunno. Cav's performance on some of the tough stages in the Giro last year was up there. Add the environment at the steppers and the situation starts to look shaky imo.

Didn't he lead the peloton over a 1st cat climb for Sky during the 2012 Tour?

If I recall correctly that was the stage where riders punctured from nails. Pace was slow and I think no one was trying to take advantage of the parcours that day to do any attacking. Everyone content to just sit on.

lol, yes he did, but the pace was ridiculously low. In fact it was so low, I gave up watching most of the Tour afterwards. Not one team tried to do something on the stage. Pathetic.

The majority of that Tour seemed to be like that actually. One of the most boring I can remember.

So you're saying for you that the 2012 Tour was not boring?

If that's the case, my next question is - new to cycling?
