True, but usually the games begin with 1or 2 kms to go.
Any hesitation and they get caught. They have to work all the way.

With the race winding down, one of the biggest questions left is whether this will be another near miss of a podium for GVA? Will he just get edged out of yet another sprint so he is only in 4th or 5th?

Well he's not the fastest in that group so it wouldnt be very surprising tbh.

Can't see the chase being a straight sprint. There'll be attacks in the final kms

Although to be fair most of the chase look pretty knacked. More about freshest than fastest after a day like this.
