The good news this year is that mads perdersen is not riding, so there's a chance that the other teams will use their numbers against MVDP instead of just towing him to the win. Belgian pozzato could ruin that though.

Also omloop in 2025 was one of the worst classics. A more attacking race this year would be good and MDVP should help that .

Certainly think this is much more open than strade or liege for instance with pocagar present. Those races aren't even worth watching

Looking forward to this. I have no skin in the game so I don't care who wins. I'll be cheering for Philipsen.
I'm sticking with Philipsen. He has his leadout man with him now. It's possible that MvdP goes too far with the leadout and nukes the entire field (it would be slightly better than a Pog solo because he doesn't do it in every race he enters).

Yes, great, great news. You were really sad when it happened but now his crash is great news after all.
His crash is not great news, again mate you put words in my mouth. He was no doing Omloop regardless was he?

His crash is sad and to be honest I understand your emotions, I was the same when Landa crashed in Albania. It's difficult.

I'm not sad like you were because I don't actually have him as one of my favourite riders but I am very annoyed when people interpret his injury as a good thing. I could understand if people would say this if Pogacar or Van der Poel would have to sit out the spring (it would still be very poor form) but when it's their biggest challenger, it just gets ridiculous.

Can't wait for the real season to start. Even more curious to see if Wout is good enough. If not, he is not going to threat MVP and Pogacar.
He deserves to break into this season like a guy that is still recovering. He might not want to start like that but he may need to avoid hurting himself.

Possible rain, 4 beaufort from SW, this could get really interesting. Some echelon action (before broadcast) is even possible, like 2(?) years ago. Perfect for Van Der Poel tbh, a hard race and if he's solo after Bosberg, they are not catching him.

On the plus side for some there is a rumour going round that polarising classics domestique “Mads Pedersen” is back on the bike with his arm strapped up and at Lidls training camp right now.
