Typical:rolleyes::D, hey the only race I can see live is the Worlds this year. the next closest pro race which happens annually is an 800km (9 -10hours) drive away to Adelaide. Grrrrrr:mad:

I think I will tip Ebh. he has some very strong form at the moment.

St Elia, I personally think that burghardt has better form than ballan. 5th in qatar and 8th in Oman. Also had a reasonable tt for burghardt at oman.

Don't rate the Sun Tour?

I don't think you can judge these guys on what place they finished in "training " races. Ballan was in a number of breaks. Anyway I agree Burghardt is looking good and always a name people mention for a classic win. I was just mentioning a name that people might of forgotten.

true it is a training ride, still think burghardt is looking a tad better than ballan.

I'm thinking Gilbert ! Though Boonen has some good form behind him atm.

Personally I'm interested to see how boom will go.

Can't wait for this race. Any idea on live coverage.

Favourites for me are Ballan, EBH, Hammond and Boonen. However, some outside bets would be Russ Downing, Niko Eckhout and Stuart O'Grady.

I'd love Russ Downing to win it. It's his type of race and if he's given licence to go for it then he has a great chance in my opinion.

Overall I'd say EBH is probably favourite. He looked in great form in Oman and with Barry, Stannard, Flecha, Downing and Hayman all in good form he has some decent support.

Not sure if Haussler is riding, He is having troubles with his knee.

Gilbert is my pick.

I was under the impression he was injured and not riding..

The usual suspects.
I was thinking Gilbert, as he rode a very smart race, two years ago, but if he's injured, I can't see past Disco Tom.

TV? Doubtful, outside Belgium and Holland.
The net should have something that is hopefully more reliable than cycling.tv

It's shown live in Norway :D Pretty much every race where EBH is attending is shown live actually

Should be multiple live feeds on the net... p2p already have it listed, and it should be on RTBF as well.

Hopefully a Gilbert/Disco Boo/EBH showdown. I'd have to go with EBH though, he looks to be coming into some fine form at the moment.

Slightly off topic but is EBH bigger news than Thor in Norway?

Their Worlds team will rival that of Belgium's WRT one-day powerhouses. Could be a classic.

That is a good question... a bit changing of the guard perhaps? Not sure actually, but EbH seems to be in the news more than Thor lately. It may be too early to tell...I think a lot of the recent news is in and around the new team, and expectations, osv.

I have to go with EBH...this is too early for Boonen I think...but never underestimate Fumiyuki Beppu...he is a beast!!

Just read that they've "flattened" the finish and it seems to make sense from a race organization, marketing, spectacle perspective...

But does it change the outcome of the race? Long upwards sloping finish vs flat finish...

Plays more into the hands of Ebh and Boonen and i would say less into the hands of someone like gilbert or hushovd

It would be on RTBF Sat, had they not ceased transmission, last week.
Needless to say, I would have been able to watch on the big screen, had they not, so I'm well P*ssed off.
They do have live streaming.
However, I'm finding I have stutter on both sound and picture, with my net feed......when it doesn't freeze altogether.
Crappy Vista machines.

Norway? What channel? I still get a few.
I shall have to investigate...........

Try linux, you dont even need to install it, just get a livecd that runs from the disc, then try streaming through that. You should find it a lot smoother. You can even install linux to a pendrive and just boot from that. But its much quicker for watching (and recording) live streams

According to the weather thing on my iphone, the lead up is as follows:

T - 6 degrees and raining;
W - 8 and raining;
Th - 9 and raining
F - 8 and raining
Sa - 8 and raining
