Good to see that a team with a lot of dough can buy a new team and start sweeping up some races right from the start. 😉

6th biggest budget in the peloton, far from the biggest.. 😀

You can't buy a winners mentality. You can inject it though 😉

Oh come on.. Flecha has been a consistent classics performer, he just needed tactics...The sky boys did a lot to keep edvald and Jaf fresh early on in the race while boonen hausler etc where wasting energy.

10 km to go, and the gaps have remained more or less the same during the last few km... I don't think those two cervelo guys can cut it. They aren't going to catch them unless other teams start helping!

Peloton looking like they are organizing

It's a very limited peleton though. It's not as if there's a TdF style Columbia train there to quickly destroy any breakaways.

I'd really like to believe Flecha can do this, but experience teaches me that he'll either die, or flat with 1.5k to go or something horrible.

Man, if this is a taster for the year to come, bring it on. Looks like some of the riders that the team shake-ups have sparked some of the just-nots to up their game. Seems that there is an awful lot of new motivation injected into the field.

Sky is having a great start to the year. Dim, how chuffed are you? 🙂

Looks like Rabo hasn't lost form after the winter break either. They've found their bad luck again, without missing a beat. Having Flecha up front is rubbing it in even more.

I would like it if Flecha stays away. I kinda like the guy, couple of recent near misses, and feel he is due one. Now if he can stay on his bike in PR....

Still only Cervélo chasing? Seems like QS and Rabo would be interested as well if they have anyone there who can work.

I don't think Rabo has anyone left? Not someone who has enough energy for a convincing win anyway. Did Boonen get back to the chasing group?
