Is there possibility for Ullrich to race again or be some type of coach? Why is he making the German tabloids seeing how disgusted the Germans are already with doping?

Truth in Sport.

I recommend the films Downfall about Hitler and Nichts als die Wahrheit /( After the Truth) .......trial of Josef Mengele.
German spoken films about denial. I think that it is good to confront the lies but I just don't know if it is possible for some human beings to tell the truth.
Drugs help people to lie to themselves and others.
Lies cover lies.

I say the odds are 1000-1 against Jan writing a tell-all. I don't see it. First, the omerta is so strong, much of his claims would be backed by no evidence, and viewed as heresy. He gains very little by speaking out, if anything. He'd also likely lose his Olympic medals, his jerseys, etc. At the most, the very most, I can see Jan making blanket claims that he got caught up in doping in his early days (the Riis/Zabel claim), and met with Fuentes at the end of his career, that's it. IF he decides to say anything at all.

Vinokourov and Hamilton both talked about the "mafia" in cycling, and talked about writing tell-all books, and both are still completely bound by the omerta, and haven't said a peep. I don't expect Jan to do otherwise.

If any of these guys talk, it's going to be long after the statute of limitations is over, or they are on their death bed, maybe. One could argue that Hamilton is a broken shell of a human being with virtually nothing left to lose, and a tremendous burden could be lifted from his troubled conscience by talking, even in a generic confession, and he would gain a high number of admirers for telling the truth, and yet, he remains completely silent and in total denial.

Ullrich is out of cycling. Omerta does not have any power over him unless he plans to come back as a DS or manager, something that does not look likely. He does not have to worry about his Olympic medals. They were won in 2000.

He would gain quite a bit. Everyone already knows that he doped. There is no way to get around the DNA test information. He and others like him look better the more info that info that comes out about how prevalent the practice is.

He would have to admit things in such a way as to not leave himself open to libel suits. He might also have to take into account what he has said under oath during the German investigation and how what he says affects the situation with Werner Franke.

Its Not About the Dope

I have always enjoyed watching Jan race, and think he could write/cowrite a wonderful book!
A genuine Rags to Riches story.

Growing up in the GDR behind the Iron Curtain. His accounts of the doping
programs for juniors would make Lance green with envy!

Speaking of Lance - maybe a chapter on their special relationship. Though they did not speak eachothers language very well, they both spoke the language of suffering and respected eachother's abilities greatly. The day they finished a stage hand-in-hand was cool!

A chapter on how the Haters/TireBiters turned on him:)?

Also, maybe some Recipes from his mum - yum.

no big surprise.

Ullrich was working with him, so naturally he had their contact numbers.

You think Armstrong does not have Ferrari on speed dial?

He probably does. But my question was, how credible is Focus?

Focus is a very creditable, it is one of the largest magazines in Germany. They also have a TV News Channel

I have to think at this point he will just STFU and live happily ever after and we will hear less and less of him as the years go by. He strikes me as the type who would be perfectly happy if he was just left alone.

And money would not be a problem for 'Der Kaiser'. Although I would not be surprised towards the end of 2012 or Jan 1 2013 (when his cut-off point ends and he can't lose his Olympic Gold) that Tyler Hamilton has a tell-all book coming out. I guess he will lift the lid on what was going on at CSC (I don't see how you can ride off the front of the pack at the Tour on your own for 100km, and given his GC position and not be jacked) and Phonak, and at USPS, although that will follow a lawsuit from Lance Armstrong, the nano second it is released.

I would concur on Tyler...maybe. He's spoke before about the cycling "mafia" and a tell-all. Compounding his depression, he also seems to carry a very heavy burden from doping, one that could probably be instantly lifted by finally confessing.

where are the wives in this? ex-Kristin Danielson (muted) and Betsy Andreu have stood tall. Where are the girlfiends, wives, families, and the facilitators?
