I just noticed Steve Cummings was in the lead group and was leading Sky rider, nice ride again by him. Uran was further by 26 seconds or so

Penciled in for The Giro methinks.

Cummings the Sky rider in the first group

Uran seems to have blown himself by going with the early attacks. Losing 26 seconds.
I find LL Sanchez dissapointing too. This is a climb that should have suited him..yet he finishes int he 26s group

Kelly instead of Bäckstedt though. Thank God they didn't give this race to Kirby (aka Mr. TT-God-Samu-Sanchez-has-to-limit-his-losses-on-the-climbs).

Or."Joaquim Rodriguez doesw well at RVV":D

My memory is fail tonight

I thought you were joking, but if you really thought it was a 3 man sprint, well there was a 4th man in the sprint who beat Gesink. And not just in that stage neither. The Vuelta comes to mind as well:D

Kiryienka is fast becoming one of my favourites, and great to see Klödi in the lead once again! What a season he's having.

Despite his shortcomings, I don't really mind Harmon. He's ok. Would have liked Kelly instead of Bäckstedt though. Thank God they didn't give this race to Kirby (aka Mr. TT-God-Samu-Sanchez-has-to-limit-his-losses-on-the-climbs).

Kirby is clueless, Harmon is slightly better I suppose.
I had Danish commentary so I didn't have a clue what they were banging on about most of the time.

But shouldn't he have waited for Uran and Nordhaug? Considering Cummings is totally out of the GC. But of course he is british so he obviously doesn't have to do common domestique duties. :p

Harmon is fine, he's just terrible at identifying riders. Usually Sean Kelly corrects him pretty quickly. Unfortunately, Magnus seems to be just as bad as Harmon at identication.

No i totally screwed up actually, i'm pretty sure Arrate was the stage gesink crashed; thus wasn't even in the sprint.

The sprint was the 4th stage, and when I said memory fail* I was indeed aware Valv. was there ;) My memory is bad, but not that bad :D

Kloden the new leader?
He'll probably break out in a cold sweat at the thought.
Expect him to end up lying in a ditch tomorrow, so he can drop a few seconds.

Kiryienka one of the few men capable of pulling a Cancellara, although apart from young Mo Ardila;), nobody was prepared to try and close the gap.

Uran just seemed to slow rightup, I dont think much could of been done to drag him back.

Brits do domestique work for Sky anyway ie in Stannard, Thomas, Hunt etc etc. Perhaps Cummings never saw him.

Wow, that was quite a sprint from Frank! I have never seen him shift like that on the flat.

Don't know if anyone picked up on it, but all results lists has the Schleck sprinter down as Andy.

this.

sad that these commentators, whom imo should be somewhat of an expert, are clueless.

Harmon the best we’ve got and is a godsend compered to Kirby and the other no nothing they draft in. As mention the other broadcasters on the foreign channels also get it wrong. God help us if Harmon get ill or leaves and Kirby becomes head main anchor for the season.

I don't even want to imagine a world in which Carlton Kirby is the only choice of commentator.

Well, in his defence, Rai Sport 2 and no less Davide Cassani, I think it was, called Joachim Rodriguez; Kolobnev, throughout yesterday's attack.
Hard, considering Kolobnev was in champs jersey.
