freire probably already dropped.peloton split in two.thanks god, movistar understood that they don't stand a chance at the podium and nobody cares about places,7,9,13 and whatever.but a day full of attacks everyone will appreciate.

It's a surprise in that after Basque Country and Asturias he did absolutely nothing, while everyone praised him and he got ****ed for not being selected for the Tour despite the Vuelta being in his program all along, and then he failed to get a decent form for the Vuelta. His August and September were terrible, and he was courting different teams and seeking to leave Euskaltel (again, not just any team). It had all the markings of a spoilt brat about to waste his talent.

It's nice to see that's not the case, but I'd say it was the most likely scenario.

How much km's remaining? Catching my bus in 10 minutes, hoping I can still get to see some of the stage .

Yeah, was disappointed when he left Euskaltel. Was worried he'd become just another domestique at Movistar, so nice to see hes getting some good results for himself.

Intxausti dropped back to the peloton

Kilómetro 67:
Cataldo y Seeldraeyers (Quick Step) y Albasini (HTC)
a 1:10 Moinard (BMC), Niemiec (Lampre-ISD) y Di Gregorio (Astana)
a 5:00 Pelotón

He lost 17 minutes yesterday and only did reasonably in the easy stages.....

Guys like Seeldraeyers target a few stages where they can get a good result.

Up there with the big guns in stage 2, riding hard in the breakaway with Kolobnev and TJ in stage 3 and right now in a breakaway again. That's a good start after a very poor year...

Seeldraeyers had problems early in the stage yesterday (not sure what that means, but the team says he did) and he couldn't follow.

Ah, didn't hear that. Still, as expected, he did save some power to go for a stage win then.

I'll only judge him after the Giro... see if he can confirm that result of 2 years ago.

Don't be too hard. I guess this year will be some kind of a transition year for him.

The guy is turning 25 this year, time he showed something of that great talent that everybody in Belgium is speaking about.

But knowing Seeldraeyers, he panics at the slightest sight of stress. He's mentally even more unstable than Devolder

I think he is more talented than VDB2. But talent isn't everything.

Of course, but like I said, 2010 was a very poor year. He almost had to quit cycling, he had a crappy built-up because of a crash in Dauphiné for the Tour and then he got sick in the Tour. Pretty much a lost year...

He still needs to toughen up, that's for sure. Both mentally and physically (considering his stomach problems for example).

Everybody has nasty falls and crashes at some point in the career, it's how they bounce back from them that tell you if they are mentally strong or not.

If you see how Gesink bounced back after his Tour crashes. Or Fränk Schleck after nearly every race crash he had ... then it's a world of difference

Is this stage actually happening or what? Was it a later start than the others? I want my live pictures!
