That's silly. The chances of Poels against David López and Vanendert should be better than those of Ligthart against Freire, and at any rate he'd be tiring Rabobank and isolating Freire.

Don't know if it's already been mentioned somewhere but they're saying Uran is suffering from allergies which might explain his lackluster performance.

True :) But Vanendert trying to shake off his companions so soon wasn't sage either. The peloton wouldn't stop chasing if he succeeded anyways.

The chase looks pretty serious, they should pull the break back without too much trouble.

I don't think David López's GC standing makes a difference at this point of the race. The peloton is not going to pass on a sprint finish easily, GC threat or not.
