There was some headwind? The sprint didn't seem too fast. I don't think the last climb tired them too much.

Freire nudged into the barriers by team mate and still wins. That would have been the finish barrier crash to end all finish crashes.

Great controlling stage by the Rabobus. And I always enjoy a Freire win.

They should light a candle for Gesink though. If he didn't do anything either Pinotti or the Sky guy would've won. The other rabo's had nothing left.

To be fair, if a push like that is forbidden, Freire should be dq. Considering how much Martens slowed down after the push, it is fair to assume the speed gain by Freire wasn't negligible. Not that I want Freire not to win. Rabobank was great today.
