Agreed. It seems to me the teams in the break are a bit confused, but they have every interest to ride and gain more time. Bigger the gap, more likely Contador gives them the win

Not really, this was the most sensible to do, they also have Soler up front who can wheelsuck Contador and maybe snatch a victory...
