A has been said, millions of reasons. He has the potential be a tweener a la Bala, or Kelly or so many others. I doubt he'll ever abandon classics racing, but if he can try his hand at both, why not?

That's fair. I just think it would be a shame if he lost some of that explosiveness by trying to become a better GT rider or if he would start cutting his program to focus on a GT.

I dont necessarily disagree with your overall point that Sky controls races in a boring fashion, but in this case putting Alaphilippe under pressure might just be the best way to create some entertainment
