Boring or not I was kinda rooting for Quintana toward the end, I remember when he used to collect some young rider jerseys what seems like a long time ago now. I expected so much more from him. However, Rogla and his blue shoes can't be outRoglstomped, so at least it was a fairly decent effort by Quintana.

Sadly, it is a long time ago. Almost ten years since 2013, when he seemed to be the only hope against the evil empire...

Nice PR!

I'm curious about this statement: "Roglič was quickly left exposed on the finishing climb with just team-mates Rohan Dennis and Steven Kruijswijk remaining in the leading group. " Having two team mates is exposed?!

Stevie didn't last long, that was obviously going to happen. Rohan 'half man, half machine' lasted until the first attack. JV might Need more than that tomorrow!

Didnt get to catch the stage, but looks like your standard Roglic MTF win (not that exciting, lets be honest).

Then you should probably watch the stage first before proclaiming it as non exciting. Yes the winning move happened to be a 200m Roglič uphill sprint, but a lot happened beforehand. Many attacks, moves, chases, tactical games were involved on the last climb.

Congratulations to Primož Roglič for taking his first season win.

As for the race itself i enjoyed the battle in the last 10km. You never know when somebody is about to fold. In this type of racing. Luckily Rogla had everything under control and on top of that stomped to the victory. As for his team. It wasn't a bad job, especially Dennis, but it was not all that stellar either. Hopefully as a team they left something in the tank. As tomorrow they are going to need that.
