Indeed strike/attack, you know what I mean.
Kooij has been very underwhelming so far this season... he's always up there or thereabouts, but he just doesn't have the speed. That was quite different last year.
No, I think higher. 8-5-3, unless I heard this incorrectly from the commentatorsSo I never paid attention to this, but will the 2023 Tour also have these 6-4-2 time bonuses mid stage?
This is one of Kooij's main goals of the spring. He's not here as a domestique, when the climbs come he will be, but so far he's been a protected rider. If he were only here for domestique duties of course they would have brought someone else. You know, an actual domestique.Being a lone domestique/sprinter in a team with no support, is very different to being a protected sprinter with a lead out train.
I don't think Jumbo is expecting him to win stages this race... he's mainly there as a dom, but obviously has the freedom to pick up the UCI points he can in sprints.
Have UAE paid them? No, I think higher. 8-5-3, unless I heard this incorrectly from the commentators
edit: I searched for it, at the TDF 2023 during the stage it’s 8-5-2, and at the finish 10-6-4

Van Hooydonck for Jumbo almost crashed two riders before that sprint, pretty bold.

Looked like it wasn’t his fault. Sometimes things just happen at high speed.Van Hooydonck defends himself after bumping Matthews in Paris-Nice

So what are the damages projected to be for tomorrows TTT? How much time will Jumbo gain?

TTT in 2019, 21,5km made these gaps.
Tirreno-Adriatico 2019 Stage 1 (TTT) results
Tirreno-Adriatico 2019 Stage 1 (TTT) from Lido di Camaiore to Lido di Camaiore was won by Brent Bookwalter before and Luke Durbridge. Michael Hepburn was leading the general classification.www.procyclingstats.com
I expect UAE losing more than 30".
Lol what? Nathan got a slight elbow against him and he decides to throw his bike into Mathews. He should’ve gotten a fine for this. If a sprinter does that in the last 300m he is disqualifiedLooked like it wasn’t his fault. Sometimes things just happen at high speed.
I mean, it's pretty unfair to compare results to 2019 when both teams are a lot different from 4 years ago. However, I am also expecting that Jumbo will gain around 30-70 seconds on UAE but I do think the UAE squad for the TTT is being underrated.TTT in 2019, 21,5km made these gaps.

Only Pogacar is an elite TTer on that team.I wasn't comparing teams but just showing how big differences could be in this TTT: this TTT is 10km longer than the one in TA. (BTW, in 2019, even teams with very good TT'ers (Ineos) lost a lot.)
But UAE shouldn't be underestimated: Bjerg, Pogacar and Wellens all are good TT'ers.
Oh okay my bad. Yeah, the differences today should be bigger. Also gonna be interesting to see the tactics in the final km of the TTT with the new rule.I wasn't comparing teams but just showing how big differences could be in this TTT: this TTT is 10km longer than the one in TA.
