Gigantic, TTT

2 7km 7% mid finishes

Not even full Eze.

I am tired man.
It's a fabulous route. Happy to see Porte back, I think it was last used in 2010 with the easy ascent of Turbie afterwards. Same descent as Saint-Roch which completely made the race in 2015.

Can we expect (or at least hope for) some classic crosswind action on the first days or is that way too early to tell?

I would like Almeida to win but with Vingegaard and Jorgenson both on the start list, its unlikely that Visma doesn't win.

Merlier should dominate the sprint stages.

ok, im back from the brew pub, i'm sure there is a joke here, and good one too, but....dammit...help me out
Okay, here’s more of an explanation:
Once upon a time, a certain regular poster did a lot work to put together a lovely race thread for that year’s edition of Paris-Nice. It was well done except for one detail. There was already another Paris-Nice thread.
That’s not that unusual, but it went all giggles when LS pointed out:
“What’s the deal, not only is there another Paris-Nice thread, and you have already commented in it!”
The next comment (forgot who) was one of my favorites: “It’s still early but this thread has potential.”
Indeed, there followed several pages of razzing the original poster, but in addition, other folks kept entering the thread (for a time thinking it was the “real” Paris Nice thread) wondering what was going on.
Things really took off as it became the alternate universe Paris-Nice thread (though the name was changed by then) with imaginary observations and results during the earthbound PN stages.
Afterwards, it continued in an episodic but mostly desultory fashion for the rest of that year and beyond. It still exists somewhere, the last moniker it had was simply “.”
All very silly but it was the way it unfolded that was hilarious.

Jorgenson, O'Connor, Buitrago, Skjelmose, Vlasov all seem contenders for 2nd. I'm not sure who to pick for 2nd.

Also interesting to see how Martinez, Gall, Van Wilder, Castrillo, Lipowitz, Powless, Sheffield, Romeo will perform.

"I hope to win! I want to win Paris-Nice. That’s my objective. I only have super good memories from Paris-Nice. I love it, it’s my favourite race on the calendar. It’s one of the biggest, if not the biggest, one-week stage races. That’s at least how I view it, it’s the one I like the most."

If Jorgenson is in yellow after the TTT, it will be interesting to see if Vingegaard only marks attacks by others on La Loge des Gardes.
