Yes todays professional riders are soft compared to previous generations of professional cyclists. That was my original point.

OK, I'll have to explain myself here. Happy to admit I was being silly about todays stage. But I was replying to a comment which claimed some sort of hypocrisy in opinions about safety - and I explained (as other members also did) that this was really just two different sets of people having consistent opinions. How that observation could possibly offend you, I have no idea - which is why I assumed, you had misunderstood me.
