If I understand him correctly it's the neutralization and starting up again that brothers him. You can lose the race right there, without doing any racing at all. I'm not sure I agree with him, but the organizers really need to have a very good reason for letting the riders stand around like that.
Fair point. It was chaotic though, this can happen in outdoor sports, it's part of it imo. And he and others were clearly still capable of competing, maybe just not under perfect conditions. But we cannot strive for perfect conditions in outdoor sports, otherwise we'd have to stop them.
