Personally, I'd rather a shorter climb like Mont Faron or even Mende, then litter the race with medium mountain stages.

I would give a strong break a fair chance. To me this looks like a stage where strong roleurs surprisingly will outclimb the smaller climbers from a breakaway. The rider type of Matthews, Abrahamsen, Jungels, Kung etc.
