Good! Used to be a fan until he turned into a whiner. Ohhh, those cobbles are too hard....Ohhh, those radios save lives....

Hope he goes out on a break every race, and ends up getting caught at the line. Freaking baby.
i am giving him the benefit of the doubt and ignoring those silly articles... he may be sticking up for the cry-baby Schleckletts on paper but, when it comes to the bike, he once again becomes Jens!!!

(that said, i really do wish he'd just shut up and ride ;) )

Any day I don't wake up in your shoes is a blessed day, lol ;)

"try walking in my shoes" when you are grown up, lol :D
Ok, for tomorrow you could try: Think first - then post

But not for me. I don't mind. That was quiet entertaining.

No-one cares what nationality Vacansoleil may or may not claim to be. They are an international cycling team, just like every other Pro Team (with the possible exception of EE).

Lol @ "The team's personality is Dutch."

I very clearly said LEGAL personality.

Read better.

So what? Is Katusha Spanish because they have Joaquim Rodriguez?

I'll repeat: Dutch money pays for the team. Dutch dude runs the team. The team's legal personality is Dutch, and Dutch riders are the largest nationality group on the team.

But because Devolder and Leukemans ride there the Belgians can just claim it for theirs? Did the Italians lose their claim to Vacansoleil when Ricco left?

5 Belgians, 9 Dutchies= seems like a hybrid team of Belgian/Dutchies to me.

It's pretty clear which markets they want to enter. Belgian and Dutch markets. Especially since the Belgians will get them the most publicity.

I'm not going to call Radioshack Belgian because Johan leads it.

He was third at Flanders. If people are saying Gilbert can win Flanders than so can Leukemans.
What complete BS (as we have come to expect from you). Gilbert is a winner, Leukemans definitely isn't.

We should ban everybody from talking about their respective countries.

Nice win for De Gendt. He was pretty good in Algarve (10th) so I reckon he's in shape to get over some hills.

So how good is De Gendt uphill? He ought to defend his jersey easily tomorrow, does he have a chance of making it over the Cote de Bécop on Tuesday?

he is actually ardennes type of rider not cobbles, so expect him to do well

There's loads. Where ya been?

Unfortunately right now I'm in a country that doesn't believe in cycling...plus I woke up late and missed the race.

Who of the Dutchies in Vacan is a winner then?

wout poels at a young age is an already proved winner.
GC classfication (Vuelta Ciclista a León - 08) and stages ToB and de' l'Ain last season. Good signs for a neo-pro. Has a nice kick + good climber.

De Gendt however, is a massive talent. I don't understand your need to be so against Ned. I personally enjoy seeing Belgium riders win, you cannot handle any praise or acknowedgment non-Bel. It's tiresome.

Yeah, he's promising.

But I still stick to my opinion that it is a Belgian/Dutch hybrid team. It's pretty clear to me that their interests are mostly in those two countries.

If Quickstep had 6 Dutchies who could also win something I'd say the same. Work dogs are invisible. Stars aren't.

I'm not against the Dutch, but Vacansoleil is still a Belgian/Dutch hybrid team :p I fail to see how that is being against the Dutch? I fail to see how that's a bad thing anyway.

@El Pistolero:
You ask which Dutch riders are winners from Vacans

2010
Van Leijen - Münsterland Giro
Poels - Stages in Tour of Britain and Tour l'Ain
Mouris - Ronde van het Groene Hart
Traksel - Kuurne Brussel Kuurne
Mol - Tour of Qatar

Of the 17 victories achieved by Vacans in 2010, 6 were Dutch... 1 was Belgian, Leukemans in Druivenkoers.
The others were Feillu (x3), Bozic (x3), Carrara, Ongarato, Ricco and Lagutin (all x1).

You were saying?
Now swallow your words.

except Moncoutie losing at least 4 minutes, probably way more

How did he do that?

I know Uran crashed, but Moncoutie? Although I do remember having seen him at the back of the peloton now.
