He says he already made room (i assume financially) for AC and 5 helpers. He'll get rid of Volderke and Chavanel and his sponsor will cough up some extra money for that certain tour win.

I'm not saying this will happen, but never count Lefevere out.

Chavanel to AG2R finally

Wasn't it Millar up there? Great ride by Dan Martin if true. Nice to see a Brit doing well ;)

perhaps it was Tony Martin ? ;) I'm not sure, but I think he finished in the top 10.

I might just have to change banks.. My lot have been bought out by Santander.

Nah, im not that petty..

Besides, i already have sky tv, a garmin 605, why not bank with santander, buy myself a cervelo, get some sprung flooring and a footon..

Santander is a fantastic bank, one of the fastest growing and secure out there. Don't see why you wouldn't want your money there, nationalism aside.

Is this confirmed, or still just speculation?

Because it would be GREAT if Banco Santander decided to get into the sport.

Very much speculation at this point.

Aha... I didn't see stage - just spotted his name on the CN front page, so it may have been Millar.

Martin is as Irish as a shamrock - have you not heard his accent?

Got interrupted by work with 2.5km to go. Anyone knows if video of the last kms can be found somewhere on the web?

Dan Martin was born 20 August 1986 in Birmingham, which lies in the centre of England. His father Neil is British and his mother Maria is Irish. In 2004 he was the British National Junior Road Race Champion, before deciding to ride for Ireland because of British cyclings concentration on track cycling.

So to answer your question, he's as English as Chris Froome, Michael Barry and Dario Cioni are English!!

Tommy D and Machado lost 4:53 today. Popo, Horner, Pereiro and Navarro all lost 7:12. I for one was not expecting this kind of carnage today. Sure they are mostly domestiques, but this is ridiculous...

It's why Paris-Nice is one of my favorite races. It is so unpredictable.

Of course Tommy D missed the split. He's Tommy D, remember?

Dan Martin was not in the lead group, it was Tony Martin in 9th. Dan did make it across in the 2nd group though, he might just be able to challenge for the young rider's jersey if he can put some time in to Kreuziger on the steeper days.

Kreuziger is looking very good. Think it will be the other way around.

Part 1 up, Part 2 in about 10 minutes

Goes from the split to the finish. Quality will improve, youtube doing its processing thing. HQ will go up tonight at some point.

Doesn't matter for me, I'm home now so I won't get to look at youTube till work tomorrow.

I have had with all my feeds getting slowed down by the censor pulling them out scanning them then sending the on, I am going to the local sports bar and demanding Eurosport tomorrow.

Oh you are most probably right, no doubt, but I think Dan Martin is due a breakout performance at some point this year.

Also, who is Tiago Machado?

Contador will have a hard time now. Valverde closing in on him. And LL Sanchez and Kreuziger with a nice bonus.
Mende is only 3/4km.... might not be enough

I hope so, I like the guy. But the same goes for Kreuziger and I'm expecting really great things from him :)

No Fredrik Kessiakoff in the results. Could it be that he has crashed out of another race this year? Not a good start of the year for him.
