After today, some Director Sportiffs are going to be a bit angry. Chance for trains to redeem themselves.

Shouldnt be too hard.

Goss ftw

Hopefully we get wind and something to create a bit of surprise and suspense like today.

After today's stage I am optimistic but not expectant.

Hope there is a lot of wind and creates a gap so major sprinters get blown off *cough* Goss *cough* and we can have a non mass sprint :D.

Sagan went super early in an attempt to get to the breakaway or at least to score some bonus seconds, and yet only Haussler managed to beat him. Be scared.

Sagan didn't go 'super early', watch the replay and you'll see he went at about 230m. Haussler was on his wheel and came around at 100m. It was close-ish, but Haussler was definitely faster.

I posted that right after watching the video. Different assessments is all.

Did anybody find any quotes from HTC on why they sucked so bad in stage 1? No way should the peloton have let that break win today.

Yeah the overhyping starts again.

Cmon, the guy is extremely good, but he's not superman.

Agreed.

I dont see him beating the likes of Goss, Haussler without hills to weaken them.

Not yet anyway.

In an unorganized sprint Sagan has a chance, but he won't be the favorite.

*expects Sagan to now win tomorrow*

Correct. The one who went super-early was Goss, with Sagan on his wheel. Goss sat up when he couldn't reach the breakaway.

I suppose Rasmussen is meant to be Goss' final lead-out? He was minutes behind today.

At least four HTCs were behind the split when the wind broke the péloton in two. Having to chase back on probably took it out of a lot of the riders who would have been leadouts.
