To me it looked like he did not have the speed. Henderson clearly outsprinted him.

Yeah? Did you see the overhead shot? I wanted to see it so I could really see what was going on, but I just missed it. My observation was based purely on the front shot I saw which is certainly not as accurate.

From the overhead Hendo starts his sprint in the lead and no-one even gets alongside him. Goss and Sagan both have a crack and can't get close, Galimzynov actually looked quickest out of the rest but couldn't get a clear lane to sprint in.

Boring stage, I did take a good nap though :p

Did someone already tell the Aussies that the cycling season has begun already? They shouldn't be winning anymore.

They haven't won since K-B-K!

A couple of observations:

Sky running a limited train, Wiggins and Rogers staying out. Is it saying that less is better, and are Wiggins and Rogers confident in their chances. What has got into them... Their sprinters have produced 3 WT wins and a classic already.

Also Sagan still seemed to handle the rough and tumble sprint with the big boys well.

Tomorrow... Sagan v Haussler v Goss. Of course the latter two are no certainty but should survive 5km @ 5%. But let's hope for more excitement than that.

I like where Galimzyanov's career is going. Should get a win any day now.

that corner 300m from the finish could be decisive as well. It'll be important to have spotted the course perfectly.

Yes, he is coming closer. Just a question of time.

Very young but very good and constant now.

Haven't seen it yet but assuming that to be the case Sky seemed to have stepped their game up this season. So far the climbers can actually climb, the lead-out men can actually lead-out and the sprinters can actually sprint. Much better than last year..

The Leadout train was one carriage long.. Thomas the tank engine.

Yeah, I understand. Those Spanish and Portuguese are all the same as far as I'm concerned.

;)

At least they're a little bit more original in their flag ;)

As far as I'm concerned he's more Australian than Haussler :p

Actually they have done pretty much exactly the same as they did last season so far. In fact it is almost impressive how similar their season has been to last year, as repeating 3. overall TDU, 2. overall oman, paris-nice stage win, podium/winning KBK and Omloop...

So the one who is born and raised in New Zealand is more Australian than the one born and raised in Australia?

.

Yes indeed, they seem to have "stepped up their game"...

So as TeamSkyFans likes to say,
"I'm off to the clinic..."

also interesting sprint.what about goss, wasn't he disqualified after the race?he almost got into denis galmzyanov.that could have been a terrible crash.

Pardon me for trying to raise the quality of discussion here, but...

We have two stages and two very atypical finishes, a departure from formula. Is this because of the radio ban? And could it be because of particular team riders taking advantage of this situation?

Obviously team coordination has taken a hit, but they will surely adapt!

On another note, the absence of so many big names from this year's Paris Nice bodes well for the Classics!
