I would value it highly if I were a rider!

But also I think it depends on which country you are the Champion of. I mean Fabian Cancellara won the Swiss TT Championship every year from 2002 to 2008! Whereas the Spanish and Italian Road races will be far higher caliber

I wouldn't want to have to wear the UK jersey for a year. Maybe if I was on Footon or something.

That said, you can work it in to the design more instead of just having the Dutch flag around the middle of an all white kit.

Nice photo. I wonder if the difference is the headwind that picked up in the latter half of the day? Not trying to take anything away from Boom--just curious.

That design is the classic GBR team design. It is used in other sport too (althogh no white shorts in rowing, if they get splashed wet you could be in trouble!)

AC is happy with his performance, says his legs feel good. Which can't be a good thing for everyone else interested in the overall. :D

EDIT: and he just tweeted congratulations to Boom.

The Sporza guys were discussing the same thing during the race.

I imagine that the headwind probably picked up a fair bit, because Xavier Tondo beating David Millar and LL Sanchez is kind of hard to explain without it.

Good point.

EDIT: The upside is that Astana won't have to control the peloton tomorrow.

What?! I'm sure Astana would save their 'big gun' for later in the race.

Someone needs to drive the autobus home. :p

I doubt he will make mention of it. He'll be too sullen by the fact that despite AC's absence, he is still only the 4th (possibly 5th) best time trialist at Radio Shack. :D:rolleyes:

Almost 500 posts by the end of the prologue. This is going to be one, long thread.:)
Well, yes, Contador is clearly over the hill, while Voigt being the same age as Grey Tex, will bring hope to thousands of middle age crisis sufferers.

Boom Boom: Glad Rabo finally manage to win something.

You reckon there should be a new sticky for each day?

I mean, if the Tour Down under and the Tour of Oman got that, I am sure P-N is deserving

Yep. Would be better than a 2500 post thread.

Rabo DS Nico Verhoeven:
Different circumstances? The sun shone all day, there was a strong northeast wind and it was cold. Lars was already the fastest on the climb, of which the first mile was sheltered against the wind. This is already a sign that today he was just the best. People shouldn't whine. Everyone rode in dry weather and the wind was the same. You can't have more equal circumstances than this.
