Bronze for Germany! :)

Looked like GB messed up the final exchange, otherwise they could have won.

It is really pouring at the stadium, Gabby and Sha'Carri's handoff wasn't the cleanest, but they got the job done. (Sha'Carri can go back to acting like a sprinter now that she's won a gold. :tearsofjoy:)

I struggle to single out a particular swimming discipline that holds much more prestige than others.

I wonder what the least prestigious medal is? Probably some of the new stuff. I would throw surfing, 3x3 (how is it 3x3 anyway, that makes 9??) basketball, skateboarding and breaking into the bin without hesitating. Combat sports don't do anything for me either.

Sport climbing on the other hand. What a sport! That is just an altogether fantastic watch.
pretty humerous that someone who is going on about arrogant athletes discounts some of the oldest and most pretigous event in the Olympic because it "doesn't do anything for ME". ;)

Uhm... why are we not allowed to know the name of one of the Canadian runners?
And one of the US runners...?

it looks pretty wet for a 2% chance of rain. Fortunately Saunders brought... well, whatever it is to keep her dry.

And now the men... years ago the US men had a lot of trouble holding on to the baton, don't know if they've worked on it (and their individual egos) since.

I actually meant that it can stay there but it's not something for me.

And I don't quite know what you are referring to about arrogant athletes? If it was the basketball comment, I didn't mean that they were morons, my comment was an illustration of the slight hypocrisy that they're allowed to do such antics while Noah Lyles is dismissed as being a toolbag.

Lyles is just an American Tamberi, always needs to have all eyes on him and suffering from severe main character syndrome.
Sprinters are usually arrogant, and Tebogo making a statement like that is equally arrogant as Lyles. Arrogance can show up as loud self-promotion or as being completely dismissive of others with an air of superiority.
