Huge bummer the Seine is still a bit of a cesspool, but I like that all the action is taking place on or around the river so far. Makes it feel like things are moving along.

I tried to spot Gee on the Canadian boat but there were just too many athletes and the boat went by too fast.

Safiya Al Sayegh of UAE. It's easier to get a closer look at the smaller nations. And there are of course many riders who aren't taking part in the ceremony.

I think he's actually pretty funny and charismatic, and maybe having played in the NFL his knowledge of that sport may transfer to other sports? (One can hope.)

NBC Peacock has decided that nobody wants to watch sports at the olympics.
NBC says people (meaning people aged 10 to 30 that only play sports as video games) want to watch celebrity hosts ( recording artists or comedians etc,) compete with each other for on camera attention.
