Well the boonen fans have been shouting loud about how bad Cancellara failed, for a week.

Yup, bad luck for anyone who isn't Belgian or Dutch is normally explained by them not knowing they should ride on the front.

Boom has looked the next strongest I really hope he takes 2nd place

I'd say Flecha has been 2nd strongest - just that he spent 50km attacking or riding on the front to help Eddy, who then wasn't good enough.

Even after that he's made the final 5.

He's really impressive alright, didn't think he would do anything because he was sick last week. So he definitely proved me wrong. Boom can handle the distance, but it seems like Paris-Roubaix is the only Monument suited to him?

Man, without that mechancial Boom would've won easily.

After being away solo for 35 km, Boonen is holding the gap to Boom easily.
Boom would not have won this.

So Boom was super strong, but it never occurred to him that he could help the chase when Boonen had 20 seconds. Nice tactics, bro.

Flecha hardly did any work. Sky wasn't rotating, it was 1 man on the front each time.

Flecha is indeed strong, considering he broke his hand right before Milan-San Remo and had no racing days prior to the Ronde.

This, basically. They can blame themselves for sure.

I dunno, regardless of what happens I think boom has shown some good progress yet this year, in a some what distracted spring (baby, sickness etc) . I'm content.

Once again Rabo's tactics (lack of) failed

Watch a replay - he attacked at 70km to go, then at 45km to go, and rode plenty of turns in the 30km chase attempt.

On the back of 2 race days as preparation.
