because sky still thinks ebh has it for the classics

Apparently they do, but today showed just how far away EBH is to really challenge for a podium spot. He had nothing to counter with when the pace went up with 30k left. Geraint and Flecha for PR next year.

Why oh why are Eurocar not premier league, yet the likes of AG2R are? Even Team Gadret are better than the 2R'S

Because cycling isnt only about cobbles.

I guess that excuses himself for not going with Boonen.

No, but a podium would have been a fine effort for boom.
Anyway he did well today, not inconceivable to imagine him winning or one day, won't be easy tho. he made improvement at the very least.

Has Turgot ever featured at the sharp end of a Monument before? I can't remember him doing so.

That was an amazing ride by him.

Find it funny that people is saying that a 24 yr old Norwegian kid that does his first serious PR NEVER EVVEEERRRRR will do good here, and should focus on other stuff

Hushovd didn't ne nearly as well when he was at his age, neither did Ballan or Flecha.

Just because we got a Boonen that has been awesome since he was 21, and we now got a Sagan that has been awesome since he was what 19? doesn't mean that that is the actuall norm for when people start deliver podiums in classics....

No way. Ballan and Pozzato were just arrogant and lazy in the situation. Glad they didn't win.

Ballan was just back, Pozzato asked him to take the turn but Ballan said no and they looked at each other.
At RAI he said that he wanted to pass a turn after his effort and plus his team told him not to ride as they had Hushovd behind.

The trouble with Sky is there's only ever Plan A and even Plan A is usually flawed. No flexibility. It's how they lost the Vuelta

I'm not sure it is a matter of never, but rather riding for the right rider in the present. It was a mistake to ride for ebh today.

Wow, Boonen did a Cancellara! Doing this while having the best sprint of the field... A true champion!

Good to see Boom and Terpstra finishing in the top 10 as well.

His tank was empty though. It's still a bit too long.
When he rode away from Flecha and Ballan he was impressive, but I wondered how long he would manage to keep it up.... well not long again.
Typical Boom. He can be very explosive, but his engine just isn't big enough.

Yes, off course, i do understand that, but someone here speaks like he never will be able to do anything
