Colbrelli being in the group is a bit like Degenkolb being in the group in 2015. It's a bit of a disappointment if he wins, but he is therefore an incentive for the others to keep attacking. I guess a better comparison is Boonen in the group in the 2016 epic, but Boonen being a multi-time winner with his background as an elite classics man was a slightly different dynamic, whereas here the favourite in terms of their perceived level would be van der Poel and Vermeersch is a quintessential underdog.

First professional win: Paris-Roubaix. Would have quite the ring to it, no?
