He did beat Van Aert there a year ago. Anyway, he was clearly the weakest of the three.

Probably a seated sprint because none of the three had enough gas left in the tank to waste any on getting out of the saddle. It was just a grind to the line rather than a real sprint. Vermeersch did what he had to do, but just didn't have enough to hold off Colbrelli. His is no disgrace.

Ya I was annoyed with his wheel sucking but that was amazing from the whole podium. Absolutely unreal and it really was iconic in the end.

I wanted Mathieu to win but Colbrelli made the race as well. He did a handful of attacks and was brave enough to ride away from the main group fairly early.
