Pulling back this much of time on Mohoric is going to be tough unless Mohoric really blows up or punctures.

Dont understand the panic in here sometimes.

its the same every big race when any reasonably big name is up the road from the favourites, half the forum starts panicking.

there‘s a three man break, with a little over two minutes gap over a large peloton with many domestiques with 70km to go. It’s not impossible that the break takes it, but they don’t have anything more than a decent chance

And it has simply been a great race so far. Very entertaining.

Peloton keeps taking back time in the sprint to the next sector, then nobody does anything on the cobbles and they slow down after exiting to give back the time again. It's far from over but a lot of people may be shooting themselves in the foot here.

The amount of work Mohoric has to do is indeed a problem for him, but still. We are really close to Mons en Pevele now and after that point groups are usually way too scattered to organize a proper chase. At that point in the race 10 second gaps are usually reason enough to panic.

Mohoric should use the others but from Mons Pevele he will likely have to go solo to keep the distance to those behind who will go full gas from there.

I think it's a bit silly saying there's load of domestiques left. Most of those have been riding all day. Likes of Ineos, FDJ, Alpecin or DQS don't actually have any left who are fresh.

So they took no time back with all those domestiques and now started attacking each other instead. Why slow down after Arenberg then? All it's done is help Mohoric and Van Aert.

most doms are pretty toasted already and peloton is already breaking apart and favs already attacking each other... the panic here is absolutely justified. this isnt the flat stage during the stage race where sprint teams can eat up 1 min in 10 km from the break.
not saying it's over but the panic is in order imho

There's jsut no good attempts at pacing.

Wanty are just such a good team this year. They’ve really put together a hell of a classics squad for a fraction the cost of some of the teams they‘ve been outperforming
Petit looked amazing in Arenberg, staying up there with Küng and Ganna. Hopefully he'll make it back quickly after the mechanical. He loves those sunny Roubaix races.

Van Aert did the forest on Roosen's bike, btw, so must have had a mechanical right before, or at the beginning of it.
