Wva has been in the wind to this point in the race significantly more than vdp. When both of them are in a big race, this happens more often than it should. Wout needs to race a little smarter.

Ah, this race. I was going to say that hasn't been the case historically. It's been more a race to race situation, though Mathieu has gotten a little better this season about not wasting too much energy.
