I think these endless fights to get into the breakaway in these kinds of races are going to become a lot more common given how rare it's become for anyone to overcome both Jumbo's numbers and the big 3's sheer power the 'usual' way. Especially in Roubaix, historically the friendliest to breakaways of the monuments, it's too obvious to make sure you put a decent rider in a breakaway for a team not to go for it, which is why everyone is doing it and therefore also why nobody gets away.
