He is clearly feeling super strong. Having said this if he can't drop the group he should probably lead out philipson :O
I'm not convinced he is. I think the reason he has been riding the way he is, is because he knows his legs do not have a strong spring, relative to Wout.

It's probably not gonna happen, because someone will break up the group before then, but if we end up with WvA, MvdP, Pedersen and Philipsen in a heads up sprint on the track, it will be epic :cool:

I think he knows that going solo is a sure way to win. Sprinting against that group is a crap shoot. The only reason he wins that sprint is that he lives in wout's head ha ha. But then he also has mads and even jasper

I was thinking about that... when you see the finish line in the front group of PR, possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity, I don't think anyone is leading out anyone ;)

Also it's not a given Philipsen will win... winning a bunch sprint after 180 K on easy roads, is a different proposition to doing it on a track at the end of 256 K on french cobbles.

Philipsen with a super smooth bike change. Don’t think anyone will want to bring him to the velodrome.
