Today there's no criticism that the slowest and most coocked cyclist took turns at the frot .Sometimes we should try to be a little more objective.

It's been a bit sad to see so much complaining in this thread. It was clear that Pogacar was more coocked and that Van Aert was faster.

Pogacar was doing all the work. Van Art was only wheelsucking and whenever he was in Front the gap imidiately started going down.

Van Aert led over almost all the cobbled sectors pre Camphin. He then dropped back, worried about an attack on Carrefour, then rode again. He was faster on paper and had Laporte behind him

Now that was some good bike racing. Feel bad for Pog who was so good. And MvdP of course. But that's the nature of this race more than most. A lot of it is things not going wrong and zero margin bike handling skills.

He had a guy in the group behind. Sure, playing the Christophe Laporte card there when van der Poel was there too is a bit silly, but it was up to Pogačar to call his bluff and see just how serious he was about playing that card.
