Who would you say have the best riders in the break?

Alison Jackson and Lisa Klein are probably the strongest riders on paper, but neither Trek nor SD Worx should be willing to let the group survive until the end.

Susanne Andersen shouldn't be underestimated either, but I'm not sure of her form after her latest injury.

It seems Trek are riding tempo, merely holding a good position on the cobbles. I take it they wait for SD Works to reel in the break?

Probably. But teams are really going to have co-operate with such small numbers in the lead chase group.

Hengeveld made a name for herself with some solo breakaways during the 2021 season, so isn't exactly the best rider to give big gap, but there's still plenty of time to catch her if the teams behind work together.

Vos didn’t get to move up in time, she is in the second group after the split on the pavé.
She had to spend a LOT to get back; this is not the Voss of old and that's going to have cost her more than she could afford I'm afraid. And Coryn will be gassed now and not available later; not Jumbo's plan obviously.

Yeah, she's basically riding her finale already. So bummed for her; she is running out of time.

Doesn't look like Vos is going to make it back. It is so hard to watch that chase...it sucks to be that close, and not quite being able to bridge. Ugh.

Koch working for Gerogi would have amde sense if Hengeveld wasn't leading the race. But she'll get caught now, so that isn't good news for the break.

Never seems to have much luck in this race. Probably the biggest gap in her palmares :(
