Fat Pat is the cockroach of the sporting world. He will survive everything.
What I want to know is why there no journos asking him tough questions. The guy is such a blatant fraud, exposing him would be a peace o' cake.

If Contador walks it's a scandal, and should be treated as such by the cycling media. We'll see if it will.

And pray tell what have you found to respect about him?
This puzzles me as well. The guy is scum, plain and simple.

No, not resign. He ought to be fired. Next to go all the disciples and hand picked friends of former UCI Emperor Hein Verbruggen. Time to clean house.

He should resign anyway. Like so many other heads of international sports federations, the way he conducts himself in public is a disgrace.

The President of the International Cycling Union (UCI) Mr Pat McQuaid visited Oslo, Norway, this week to take part in the centenary celebrations of the country’s National Cycling Federation

International Cycling President Mr Pat McQuaid attended the 10th edition of the Caribbean Elite Road Cycling Championships held in Guadeloupe on October 23rd and 24th.

sounds like fun, but instead of globetrotting, could he please sort out what is happening to cycling next year. His World Tour has not yet been agreed with race organisers. Pro teams, (or maybe they're not) are in a state of uncertaincy over what is happening, and, as far as he's concerned, it seems that Norways centenary celebrations and the Caribbean Elite Road Cycling Championships held in Guadeloupe are a greater priority.

Fair enough, live the life Pat. Enjoy. Who cares what damage you do to the sport as long as you're OK.

He is working! How do you think the cash gets to the Cayman Island bank accounts?

He probably should step aside. It will assert a serious effort for change. Cycling needs it now more than ever.
