He already is.

The question is: what's next? In an era with Teddy Merckx, Jonas The Dragon Slayer, and The New Merckx, can he be the Yautja? Not to forget The Bull, a kid may come up...who knows...Ayuso, Joao? Meh. Great riders tho'.

I was listening to some french guy analyzing his performance.

Apparently he is missing around 20 watts to be able to follow Pogi. He said he made a lot of progress recently by being able to gain weight while keeping same watts/kg. Which naturally means bigger total watt output.

2 years ago he was only 55kg, now he is around 64kg.

He also said we don't know yet how he performs on high altitude climbs (over 2000m) which the TdF ofc always has a few of.

I suppose gaining weight goes with gaining height in those last two years. It makes sense that at the age of 17-19 he was still growing gaining aerobic power and mass.

Seriously though, it's likely that UAE will show $$$ and want to buy Seixas for 2027 already. I do think they could give him Tour leadership already from 2028 on: Pogacar doesn't enjoy the Tour and at some point (after getting at least to #5) will want to decide the whole schedule by himself (so basically classics + Vuelta or Giro).

This makes me unsure if you have followed the news recently, don't you think the world we live in is already dystopian enough?

They went above 2000 metres twice at Avenir and once at Dauphiné last year.

Also, if it actually were to be his achilles heel, then you can bet the farm on the Tour suddenly not climbing anything higher than Tourmalet for a good few years.

Watched some of Strade rebroadcast this morning and just so happened to turn it on with @88 to go.. Pogacar is raising speed in the group, at about @85..85.5 he starts to separate, Seixas tried to follow but couldn't keep the pace but Del Toro couldn't keep secondary pace with Seixas, who was dropping Del Toro, it's like the teenager waits for Isaac only to discover he won't work to pull back his leader. Don't know if Seixas had an @80 kilometer ITT ride in him but he was obviously not as fast as Tadej but is obviously faster than everyone else.

I read the Vaughters interview about UAE offering almost double the offer for Del Toro.. There appears to be some positive vibes coming from Decathlon..like they have funding enough to keep team intact. Don't know how much they pay Felix Gall , Riccitello, and Paul Lapeira ..I really hope that they have financial headroom to give Seixas a good multi year deal. It will make racing better if talent is more divided. UAE concentration has people angry about the stacked roster. Many teams don't have money to sign him

@7-9 for multiple year deal, Onley's bank haul was part of contract pay out. Same thing with Quickstep, everyone is acting like people are trying to steal riders, in reality, fewer teams have solid multi year commitments and for sure are happy to be free of heavy financial responsibility. I hope Paul Seixas has a good agent and he can get a commitment with a bonus.

Decathlon has some pretty capable riders to help Seixas with whatever goals, single day stuff and GC goals, if Ineos is flush they could chose to ditch a couple of older riders. Teams can go with UAE model with no designated sprinters and no dedicated riders for a leadout train, bunch of other threads saying something about UAE not having anyone in the top sprint positions, they want it that way.
I think that Decathlon is a great place for him to land..I don't know about sales or their products but I can't help but think that Van Rysel is selling more product. It just looks like a winning situation for everybody.
