No word if the "Fly V" team will even run yet?

I don't know if not being named in the US conti teams, means anything.

So the question is, at 4pm tommorow if they dont get their license which of these riders are going to be offered jobs on other teams.

AVERY Clinton < Team RadioShack (Trainee) - Will be cheap and neo pro. Someone will take a gamble
CANTWELL Jonathan < Fly V Australia - back to fly-v?
CORNU Dominique < Skil - Shimano - has some promise, half decent on the cobbles, half decent time triallist, former track rider.
CRAWFORD David Jai < Fly V Australia - back to fly-v
DAY Ben < Fly V Australia - back to fly-v
DENNIS Rohan < Team Jayco - Skins - back to ausse domestic
EICHLER Markus < Team Milram - luck to find anywhere
HUNTER Robert < Garmin - Transitions - pro conti team may pick him up, not sure about PT
IMPEY Daryl < Team RadioShack - as robbie hunter
KEMPS Aaron < Fly V Australia - back to fly-v?
KLIMOV Serguei < Team Katusha - lucky to find anywhere
KNEES Christian < Team Milram - should find at least a pro-conti ride.
LAPTHORNE Darren < Rapha Condor - Sharp Should have no problem returning to a british team
LILL Darren < Fly V Australia - back to fly-v?
LOWE Trent < Garmin - Transitions - 2 rough seasons, might find a pro conti team.
MCEWEN Robbie < Team Katusha - pro conti team might snap up to get race invites
MORAJKO Jacek < Mroz - Active Jet
ROBERTS Luke < Team Milram - back to domestic team, bit old for pt
ROHREGGER Thomas < Team Milram - another that may be picked up by a pro-conti
SULZBERGER Bernard < Fly V Australia - Back to fly-v?
THOMSON Jay Robert < Fly V Australia - Back to fly-v?
TRAKSEL Bobbie < Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team - Someone should pick him up based on that one win
TUFT Svein < Garmin - Transitions - New Canadian Pro-Conti team?
ZAJICEK Phil < Fly V Australia - who cares

If NetApp could secure the funds they could snaffle riders like Knees, Rohregger, Eichler cheaply. They only have a 17 man roster at the moment and these riders would be going very cheaply. A great opportunity to expand and i have heard they have ambitions too.

Other sponsors have pulled the plug.

They will stay under fly v when they can't find a sponsor but they have run their run. No one will never sponsor them after this mess. They may as well fold completely.

You know that for a fact?

I know other sponsors have pulled the plug. Yes. Well I know one that has through a source and the info is usually right.

They are up **** creek without a paddle.

White will probably salvage them as he thinks they can operate as Fly V again - which they could. Fly V haven't pulled the plug so they should be able to go back to the USA scene again.

But after this mess, would you sponsor them when they try and go pro-tour/pro conti again a year or two down the track? I wouldn't.

Would be a good fit if they can swing it. They've been stretching very modest sponsorship but having their Pro-Continental license might help them get more sponsorship, better invites, and land a rider like Tuft. It's like the opposite of the Pegasus situation because their modest successes and prudent management create all sorts of growth opportunities.

I hope this mess isn't too big of a set back for cycling in Australia. Australia has so many strong riders and seems to have a great sporting culture.

Any chance any of these guys end up on TEam Type 1? They just moved up to pro-continental and have just 21 riders. They keep saying they're gunning for GT invites in the next couple of years, but really their team is nowhere close. They probably don't have much money... but probably could use some guys.

They have some russian riders already, so maybe a good landing spot for Klimov? Hunter or Tuft would be undisputed leaders at a team like that as well, but still be at the pro-continental level.

Just musing a bit.

I was told today from a friend in the know that Scott has pulled the plug.

If that is true, the writing is on the wall.

Well that would be a shame but why would Scott pull out now? They don't have another team do they so what advantage would their be? Possibly they have pulled some part of the sponsorship though. Either way its bad.

Scott who?

I'd imagine we'll know before the deadline if they got a sponsor.

Best news all week! Lets hope the UCI accepts their pro conti licence and Turtur throws a wildcard at them for downunder.

Assuming their solution is real (I wouldn't put anything past White at the moment) it is most likely only viable for the 2011 season so they will have to prove with results what they are capable of to secure a long term sponsor so their team can run sustainably. If everything goes to plan from here it could turn out yet to be a healthy incentive for the team to do well

I don't think White found another sponsor but the other sponsors increased there sponsorship. Shame it is not an australian sponsor though...beggars can not be choosers.
