Seems to me Pegasus better have one of those big fat bank cheques to hand over or they won't get a Pro Conti licence anyway.

let's hope it comes off, the riders and staff deserve the opportunity to at least show what they can do.

they deserve a TDU spot as well - if they can't get this then how can they possibly attract Aussie sponsors in the future.

White said he was over at the Giro presentation, and handed in the PT application in person at Aigle, and he was also in Amsterdam. Can anyone verify?

Perhaps there was a sponsor that stepped up because they felt sorry for them like Europcar did for BBox.

I very much doubt that. If they failed to secure an australian sponsor I doubt they would of found an international sponsor in that time. Personally i think the other sponsors have increased there funding.

Chances White is still f.o.s = 80%
Chances he is telling the truth for once = 20%

Sorry ACF et al, just calling it as experience sees it

Same reason Bondy, Skase and Rudd all claimed backing that turned out to be a mirage - pride and a refusal to accept failure leading to delusion.

That, and he can blame it on the UCI if they refuse them. Then if someone asks he'd just have to say "The sponsorships depended on our getting a pro con license, but they were real, everything was signed."

Rudd was Prime Minister, Skafe, he was a Madoff type (but in the 80's), and Bond was a bad businessman who did time for fraud. I dont think he was trying to flatter CW

No. The obvious reason is to stall for time, thinking that a few more days could bring about a miracle. Ever since the main sponsorship deal fell through, he will have been scrambling to find another sponsor. Contacts at various companies would have told him that they will propose sponsorship with their higher ups and get back in touch.

hahahaha, do you have any connections to the team or are you just a passionate fan of australian cycling and fly v?

Tuart is to Pegasus as acf is to BMC.

Well I guess its like that but without the over-zealousness and tbh, I'd take an interest in all pro Aussie teams. I follow/ed Drapac, Jayco-Skins and FlyV over the past year (and intermittently before then). I've brought 2/3 of their jerseys too, doing my bit to fund and promote the teams. :D
