The PCT licences for Xacobeo and Acqua e Sapone last year came after the deadline cos of the same reason, and of course there was Astana and their licence; the UCI seemed pretty happy to let them sort it out. The UCI has given Pegasus a lot of rope, all Chris White wanted to do with that rope was make a clothes line and hang his riders and staff out to dry on it.

Well put Sir.:)

i still can't believe the support of CW has with the aussie media .. prior to the UCI announcment Mike Tomalaris (is a clown) came out with a twitter post blaming others for the demise of Pegasus .. clearly he should declare his own conflicts of interest before posting rubbish -

oh and another thing - the UCI didn't recognise 'mateship' as a form of legal currency on any international foreign exchange

Wow, thats a pretty damning indictment on CW from the UCI!!!! I guess his dreams of coming back next year for another crack are looking a little shakey.

I think its unwise to say that this is the whole story on why it was rejected. I don't think MT or others would have commented if they didn't know about something.

Still its really only Pegasus' fault if their documentation is wrong. Maybe the sponsors were saying "yes if..." and that's all CW was going on?

Some more verbal diarrhea from White!

That the trouble now, nobody beleives anything that comes out of his mouth.

Besides a letter of credit is worth nowt, its just guaranteeing you have x amount available in your bank. Doesnt mean you can afford it. I can get a letter of credit the day after we wifes salary goes in the bank. But if we gave the uci a hefty chunk when rent day came wed be ******ed.

Yeah, this horse is just about flogged out.

One thing that I think was his downfall was his weird choice of riders.
He obviously lost Gilette from the lack of pro tour licence. Prior to that he was prepared to buy all sorts of riders, even Cancellara. If he had of bought some better names they probably would have a pro tour team. Such a weird choice of riders. There were some awesome young up and comers but no real names that would get them starts.

Wonder whats going to happen with all those service course vehicles and team buses they brought sitting in Europe empty this season?

I was slightly puzzled with the lack of quality riders signed, Traxel, Hunter,an aging Mcewen, and maybe Tuft for his TT skills are ok but the rest were rubbish.

White in charge, useless riders backed by a con artist like George Gillette always sounded like a recipe for disaster though. Maybe the up and comers can get other teams and try to prove themselves but may be difficult, who knows..

Finally the chickens are coming home to roost in Whites stable. He has a history of using people and then throwing them under the bus when he no longer has further use for them. Karma is a *****....

Yep. Some didn't know White's history until I made that damning post on him and his previous antics!

I don't believe in Karma, but after seeing what has unfolded the last week I do.

Some riders are doing it tough though at the moment. You have to feel sorry for them. White sucked them in real good.

Yea sort of... others like knees and rohregger were good signings. They were only really missing one big climber/GC guy. With McEwen, Roberts, Hunter and Cantwell they had the potential to be competative in every sprint stage and most likely win quite a few. Then even Knees and a few of the other guys can ride hills and classics well. Their downfall was that Trent Lowe and Rohregger were their best riders in the mountains and you have very little chance of competing for a high GC spots in any quality week long stage races with climbs. I'm dissapointed for some of the Fly V guys too. It wouldnt have surprised me if Jai Crawford had done well in europe and Ben Day was starting to look like a really mature rider. Then there were a good group of young guys there too like Dennis, Avery but they are obviously not climbers either.

What I am trying to say is that the roster was not as bad as you, and I have to admit, as I once thought aswell but they Were really missing a leader for the mountains. I still can't tell if it was Chris White's fault or not but it is a big shame for sure.

What are his previous antics and what is his past history? Can't find your post, just wandering what sort of history he has and why blokes like McEwen didn't know to steep clear?

I just can't believe Walker would go from GT riding to Conti. What a waste. :(
maybe he knows what races they are gone do , a continental team may race in the Europe tour which include races like KBK , E3 , Brabantse Pijl , 4daagse van Duinkerke , Scheldeprijs , Electrotour , tour of Austria , ... check on uci.ch

Another problem for Pegasus is that there are even more Pro Continental teams next year, 23 instead of 20 and five of those are french teams who will probably sweep up alot of ASO invites and so will many of the other pro conti teams as well in their respective countries since most other teams are either belgian, italian or spanish.

I don't know, I feel they will have to do most of their racing in the American continent.
Do you know where the team will be registered?
