Interesting he's leaving.. Where should he go.

Cant decide if id like to see him at sky, but not sure.. Certainly a great rider for them.

Dunno if mud sticks too bad though.

Definitely not Sky, although he's the kind of rider they need (a climber).

Probably Geox.

From the options listed i hope sky or Astana. Moviestar and Geox have ENOUGH gt climbers.

Astana have a good Vino Kreziger thing though i guess he might be a level above, though Roman did want that Giro for himself.

Sky would be great. Wiggins Uran is good, but Pellizoti would really give them a good team.

Considering he's a card-carrying member of the fascist Fiamma Tricolore, I'm waiting for the option "get stuffed" to be added.

PS: It's "Movistar", nothing to do with "Movies" :)

Actually, I think he would be great for Geox. They have Menchov and Sastre, but honestly I wouldn't trust Sastre to get so good results by now. Their other guys are more of the support type, unless Valls steps up, Duarte doesn't even need a season to adapt and Cobo rises up from his grave again (although this being Matxín's team I'm sure he'll magically rise up).

I don't think he'll go to Sky, but it would be beneficial to both sides, Sky need someone for the Giro and it may help repair Franco's reputation.

Geox, totally. He's cut-price, bargain bin, going cheep [sic], packaging slightly damaged, only two careful owners.

And if he happens to turn in some good results (because I can't see Menchov or Sastre winning much), he'll have been the sale of the century. :p

Menchov is more of a winner than Pellizotti. Why is our Russian friend perpetually underrated?

Can there not be a Liquigas option? He is still currently in talks with Liquigas.
But I'd think it be best for him to go to Astana, the Kazakhs would get a real GT contender with Pellizotti.

I'll vote for Liquigas, even though this is strangely not an option.

His agent is just throwing team names around to get a better contract at LG. You see it all the time in football.

Taking away any concerns about being clean, I think he would be the perfect fit for Pegasus. He can be a GC rider or a stage hunter in the mountains for them. That is something they are missing.

This topic still belongs in the clinic .He hasn't been completely cleared. All that's happened is that it was judged that the blood passport itself isn't conclusive proof but his blood values were still suspicious so by no means does it mean he's innocent.

Sky would be undermining all credibility by signing him.

I think that statement is a bit unfair. They don't lose credibility. I guess no team in the pro peleton would have credibility then!

Most teams don't have any credibility in that regard in my opinion. Only a handful of teams have that type of credibility.

why should he leave ?

he should, and probably will, stay with lg whose boss personally stood by him.

they helped him thru the coni affair, they hired doctors to get him off the hook, they will also stay with him if cas overturns coni.

he'd be a world class scum to leave (provided they're bidding which is hard to believe they aren't after so much investment)
