Bora's squad for Omloop Het Nieuwsblad : Peter Sagan, Marcus Burghardt, Michal Kolar, Maciej Bodnar, Aleksejs Saramotins, Andreas Schillinger, Christoph Pfingsten, Lukas Postlberger.

That's better than what he had at Tinkoff.

Cycling weekly reports vast majority of online bookmakers have Sagan as favourite to win MSR, Tour of Flanders and P-R. GVA 2nd favourite for Tour of Flanders and for P-R, Degenkolb 2nd favourite with Major Tom 3rd favourite.
Wouldn't think he could win all three but didn't think he would win 2nd World Championship so let's wait and see.

After all he is gonna do KBK, with Sam Bennett if there's a sprint : Peter Sagan, Sam Bennett, Michael Kolar, Aleksejs Saramotins, Rudiger Selig, Michael Schwarzmann, Lukas Pöstlberger, Pascal Ackermann.

Anyway Sagan's rainbow stripes jersey will be altered when he returns to Europe.
You were right Man ! He's back to the full package.

A weekend to look forward to with chances in two great races to start the classics season off. The different courses should reveal the form everyone's in and how well Bora and other teams have gelled together.
Hopefully Bennett's Belgian roots will aid him into a good leadout position. Though Adam Blythe said all Sagan wanted from him was to stay close in case he had a mechanical and he found even that was hard at times!
Can't wait and glad to see full stripes back. It was suggested that the underarm panels were because of the Australian heat, being made of breathable fabric which wouldn't take printing but Bora never confirmed that as far as I know.
Just looked at the training video in Belgium and he's definitely riding there with disc brakes, interesting...

He was training on disc brakes in Adelaide but raced on normal ones. Maybe they are better like that.

In the land of Peter Sagan. "My son has found some peace and quiet in Monaco. And in his heart." Worth a read.

Interesting reading.
I remember interview with his youth coach Peter Zanicky after Olympics. He was talking about how they were trainig for MTB race. He said "Biggest concern was the start of the race". Of course the start was biggest issue, he had to start from last position in bunch of 50 people. But then Zanicky added "We weren't concered about his starting position. We were concerned because we were afraid if the material will hold. We were practicing starts 3 times and in 2 occasions he ripped the chain apart".
:)
Well... his nickname is Terminator after all.

"This year he’s aiming for the sixth [green jersey] in a row, which would be unparalleled"

Eh, no.
Yes, it is.

Considering the rest of this discussion is for the clinic we can't go any further than that, here.
No, it isn't.

Are you ready to take this discussion to the next level? :p

Erik Zabel has won the points competition 6 times in a row, and he is also the official winner to this present day of those editions. If you are not counting official wins, nor who actually won on the day, then it just isn't possible to have much of a conversation about records and statistics in cycling. Should we dismiss Merckx then as well?

He normally takes some time to get in top shape but he already looked stronger than anyone else. In 4 weeks he will be a lot better and capable of doing long efforts at high intensity. In my opinion Greg (and his true love for sagan's wheel) is the only threat to sagan

Such a joy to watch. :)

Cycling's own Lionel Messi.

Please no. As great as both are in their respective sports, Sagan stands as the definition of charisma and flair while Messi...well...

Maybe I'm taking a longshot, but a decent football comparison could be the great Roberto Baggio. There was just something special and distinct about him also that made him almost universally beloved.

I was just taking the sporting side into account. Both are the most talented individuals I'll probably ever see at their respective sports. Both are heads and shoulders ahead of the rest, both make it look so easy and effortless. Both were born to do what they do.
