Having a Sagan winning gravel races would add super visibility to any manufacturer. Bora would be able to accomplish the same thing unless their payroll still needed the help. EF, Trek have guys doing those events although I'm not sure Sagan could attract as much money from Cannondale or Trek manufacturers. He'd be a big hit in North America.

I'm probably not alone in wishing Sagan would hook up with a proper classics team and avoid GTs. I don't think he should do gravel or MTB -- First off, there are some real beasts in the gravel world like Lambie who just like to suffer for hundreds of kms; second I'm not sure that gravel riders care if Sagan wins a race on a Specialized bike. MTB XC is dead in the US.
Well it would depend, in part, on if Spesh think they're missing a trick by having the likes of Morton and Stetina racing around on other brands, or if they're happy with the exposure they're getting. And if they think the value Sagan brings is as someone who wins WT races and green/rainbow jerseys, rather than just someone who rides a bike.
Gravel bikes seem to be the hot market in the US now. Our road race scene is largely non-existent unless business parking lot crits count. The legal hurdles to open road racing are absurd and expensive so noone can promote an event. Gravel is easier and all of the same folks that had their expensive Rapha kits and trick road bikes are now sporting gray and flat green jersies on 30cm tires....on the road. They're dying for events and, while Bolder's take on MTB's decline is correct; roadies don't see that much difference and relish a more Hard-man image anyway.
Edit add: Cyclocross is huge in the Pacific NW and where most of the MTB folks congregate with their shaved roadie counterparts.

Finally. Man that was an absolutely sick ride from beginning to the end. Just incredible.
What a way to kick back! This must be his greatest stage win. It's appropriate that a rainbow was visible when the triple world champion won.

Actually, I think this is his first win ever from the early break which is pretty bonkers considering how many times he has been attacking in the Tour. Roubaix was with 50 kilometres to go, this was from the start of the stage. I don't think it has happened before but there are a lot of wins to him so I can't be certain.

Then he hold off Bilbao and peloton which wasnt slow either. Then rainbow came when he was crossing the line solo. I really hope I am not sleeping because I will be really pi**ed if this is a dream Definitely his biggest GT win and one of the best performances ever.

That was a legendary performance from Sagan.
Even 25 kilometers away from the finish, I was already telling myself that it was his best performance in a while even if he didn't end up winning.
I still can't believe Peter pulled it off. Bilbao was about to comeback and then what a kick that was from the three-time world champion !

That was a great performance by Sagan. He also did really well on stage two, but today was his big day. I'm happy for him.
A blooming Sagan in his prime apparently needs a lot of racing kilometers before he can tease out his top form, so It's going to be a looong winter for him

According to Velon, he averaged 440 watts for the 20 mins beginning with his attack.
