He rode the final 170km of Paris Roubaix on Tuesday with Stybar and Lampaert. Styby and Lampaert left to do a reckon of the Omloop and E3 on Wednesday, Gilbert stayed and did the same 170km route again, on his own. He did the most important cobbled sectors multiple times until he was satisfied. He will be ready, no doubt

I'm rooting for him. Gilbert represents the romantic side of cycling, a pure belgian attacker , a true racer, one of the best classicomanos of all time. I truly love this man, let's hope he can win another monument this season.

Auch. Enough of those camps at Mallorca, Valencia, Australia, South Africa, this is real man's stuff.

He is also targeting MSR. Will be interesting to see who QS will back between him, Alaphilippe and Viviani.

Only 20 pages for Gilbert. Domestique job finished perfectly.
It is your show time.
Add a new Monument firstly and then another hat trick in Ardennes regions.

He has played the ideal super-domestique to Terpstra so far this season. They seem to get along with each other quite smoothly. Van Avermaet probably thinks WTF though.

He has. Maybe there’s an agreement. I’ll help you now, you help me in Roubaix.

Hopefully he does win in Roubaix. He has the form to be a factor in the race.

I know that it's not a race best suited to him, but I'm still surprised that he hasn't raced it since 2007. I suppose that's just a reminder that we are in the age of specialization, even when it comes to a rider who isn't so specialized.
